Indoor Flying

In the past, here in central Pennsylvania, we have been limited to flying outdoors. Spring, Summer, and Fall have, in general, not been much of a problem. Winter however, does become very uncomfortable as can be seen from this New Years Day 2010 photo!

However, in the recent past, the model industry has used the move to electric powered model aircraft to bring many models to the market that are capable of flying indoors.

In an effort to locate a facility in The State College Area, a number of indoor sites were considered. Due to the efforts of Joe Weiber, one of the Club's members, a Club activity was established where indoor flying can be done at Our Lady of Victory (OLV) School Gym.

With the growing popularity of indoor flying, we had soon outgrown the OLV space. In the fall of 2012, we moved to a larger venue at Christ Community Church.
