Become an SCRC Member
There are a number of advantages to becoming a member of our club: if you're interested in learning how to fly radio controlled airplanes or if you know how to fly already and you're looking for a place to fly. We have a beautiful flying site. It is located at Centre Airpark near Centre Hall, Pa. A portion of the active runway is used for the R/C runway. The pit area is adjacent to the runway and and between the airport office and the runway. The Club dues cover the rental and upkeep. As a member all you do is come when you want to fly.
If you want to learn how to fly, there are many members qualified to instruct you. We have many members with vast experience building and rebuilding airplane kits, who can answer your questions arising from kit building. If you have made a dumb mistake, call us; we have probably already made that mistake more than once and have a few ways to correct it.
Membership Requirements & Privileges:
Standard Membership:
Must be 18 years old or older and hold a current AMA membership. A stardard member has all flying and voting privileges and may hold any elected or appointed office after one year of membership.
Family Membership:
A Family membership includes all imediate famliy members but only includes one vote per family. All family members have flying privileges as long as each flying member holds a current AMA membership. Any family member may hold any elected or appointed office after one year of membership provided all other requirements are met.
Junior Membership:
Anyone ages 12 to 17 may be a Junior member and has all flying privileges but no voting privileges and may not hold any elected or appointed office. A current AMA membership is reguired (free youth membership). Junior members under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the flying field and while attending all club activities.
Youth Membership:
Anyone age 11 and under may be a Youth member and has all flying privileges but no voting privileges and may not hold any elected or appointed office. A current AMA membership is reguired (free youth membership). Youth members must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the flying field and when attending all club activities.
Senior Membership:
Must be 65 years old or older and hold a current AMA membership. A senior member has all flying and voting privileges and may hold any elected or appointed office after one year of membership.
Social Membership:
Must be 19 years old or older. A Social member has no voting or flying privileges and may not hold any elected or appointed office but may participate in all other club activities.
Associate Membership:
Anyone who is a member in good standing of another RC Club and holds a current AMA membership may become an Associate member. An Associate member has all flying privileges but has no voting privileges and may not hold any office.
The current SCRC annual dues for SCRC Members are as follows:

New applicant's first year dues are dependent on the date of the application:
